Jamburgeree Weekend is coming! The JAMBURGEREE is named after two long-running Athens favorites: The Black-Eyed Pea Jamboree featuring the Uncle Fletch Festival
Date: Friday, Oct. 17 and Saturday, October 18, 2025
Location: Downtown Square, Athens, with 5K held at Cain Center YMCA
Brought to you by the Greater Athens Chamber of Commerce, the City of Athens, and a growing number of community partners, this year’s festival will feature tons of family fun, including:
- Friday night Street Dance sponsored by the Old Fiddlers Reunion Foundation
– A 5K race and Family Fun Run: Register: Black-eyed Pea 2025 Fun Run & 5K sponsored by UT Health East Texas
- Athens, TX Farmers Market
– Live entertainment throughout the day
– Arts & crafts vendors
– A dedicated Kids Zone

– Turtle races
– Black-eyed pea cookoff

**Capping off the day: Barefoot Nation: A Kenny Chesney Tribute Band will perform Saturday night at The Texan: A Landmark Venue.
