Beginner Basics in Mixed Media Painting Workshop

In this one-day workshop for adults led by local artist Lauren Adams, we'll use various materials and mediums to create a single artwork.

We'll combine wet and dry media in various applications to explore depth and heighten our creative expression.

Participants will gain confidence combining watercolor paints, pen and inks, colored pencils, pastels, and more!

This is a foundations class where you'll learn skills needed to begin painting with mixed media. We'll get to know the materials and essential methods. We'll explore the importance of value, color, and composition. We'll have demonstration, group discussion, and plenty of individual attention. Plus, you'll get to spend some quality time painting in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
