ROLES BEING CAST:
BEN (male-identifying, any age or ethnicity): A mad scientist whose goal of world domination gets sidetracked when he falls in unrequited and completely one-sided love at first sight. Has a mid-show dance number with a partner.
GREG/ GERT/ GERB (any gender, any age or ethnicity): Ben's zany partner in mad science, with a penchant for spontaneous mutation and a high tolerance for electric shocks
DR. ROTH (any gender, any age or ethnicity): The eeeeeevil head of an eeeeeevil corporation with eeeeeeevil plans
KATE (female-identifying, any age or ethnicity): Perhaps more appropriately called an "angry scientist," she often has fits of verbosity and rage, frustrated by Dr. Roth's machinations and Ben and Greg's tomfoolery.
JILL (female-identifying, any age or ethnicity): Dr. Roth's brilliant new intern/ lackey, whose dedication to science blinds her to the evil intentions of her boss and the unwanted affection of her newly made acquaintance, Ben. Has a mid-show dance number with a partner.
NICK(male-identifying, any age or ethnicity): Dr. Roth's security guard/ minion, and Jill's affable but dim boyfriend, and thus Ben's mortal enemy. Must be comfortable with onstage choreographed intimacy (kissing and canoodling)
CREATURE (male-identifying or nonbinary, any age or ethnicity): One of Ben's only scientific successes, a patchwork creation that has trouble keeping it together (literally). Few lines but featured prominently throughout the show. Part will likely feature heavy make-up/ prosthetics. Has multiple scenes of onstage choreographed intimacy
MONSTER (female-identifying or nonbinary, any age or ethnicity): Cobbled together from spare parts in a desperate attempt to sabotage Jill and Nick's relationship. Few lines but prominently featured in the second half of the show. Part will likely feature heavy make-up/ prosthetics. Has multiple scenes of onstage choreographed intimacy
THE X-TRAS (looking to cast 4-6, any gender, any age or ethnicity): An assortment of mad scientists forced to work for Dr. Roth's eeeeevil corporation, who still like to party when time allows. Limited but fun stage time during party scenes and transitions, with one or two lines apiece.
