See through the illusion of separation. Recognize what you've always been.
Join us this winter for Universal Wisdom for the Modern Mystic: A Journey through the Upanishads
What Makes This Course Different:
1. A clear, direct approach to everyday mysticism
This course isn't about religion or doctrine. It's about learning how to:
notice awareness
listen inwardly
ask meaningful questions
sit comfortably with not-knowing
recognize the deeper self beneath your roles and story
If you're seeking clarity without dogma, this is the heart of the Upanishads.
2. You'll read the Upanishads through the beautiful Yeats translation
Instead of dense academic commentary, we use the luminous collaboration of Shree Purohit Swami & W.B. Yeats.
This translation:
reads like simple English
feels alive and intuitive
opens the imagination
avoids jargon
welcomes absolute beginners
A Nobel Prize-winning poet and a Sanskrit scholar created these texts to "read as though written in common English"—bringing ancient wisdom into a language your heart can understand.
3. Ancient wisdom brought into modern life
Each class connects timeless insight to the questions we face today:
Who am I beneath stress, identity, and responsibility?
What remains steady when life is uncertain?
What is awareness, really?
What gives life meaning?
What changes, and what never changes?
This isn't abstract philosophy. It's living, personal inquiry.
4. Inquiry-based, not lecture-based
You won't be memorizing concepts. You'll be engaging in:
open questions
conversation
shared reflection
guided inquiry
simple awareness practices
silence and presence
This mirrors the original spirit of the Upanishads: a small circle of seekers exploring truth together.
5. Truly universal and welcoming
This course is for all backgrounds—Christians, Buddhists, atheists, skeptics, meditators, therapists, and anyone drawn to inner clarity.
We explore themes common to all human beings:
consciousness
identity
inner peace
meaning and purpose
the nature of the self
No beliefs required. Just curiosity and openness.
6. A warm, contemplative style that fosters recognition
This course is guided in a way that feels:
spacious
safe
intimate
reflective
intuitive
grounded
You won't be lectured at. You'll be guided inward toward recognizing the wisdom already within you.
