Meet Christine 4 - 7 PM - Learn about the process
The Tapestry Collection:
Christine’s River Tapestry and Forest Tapestry series are luminous, woven-glass works—each piece crafted strand by strand, fused into intricate layers, and set into deep shadow box frames. Vivid fish, aspen leaves, and textured color blocks appear suspended over a woven glass grid, evoking movement, light, and the rhythms of nature.
River People:
This companion collection pays homage to the beings who share our waterways, fish that migrate, forage, and thrive in the Pacific Northwest. These fused-glass pieces incorporate copper fish, glass inclusions, and dream-like backgrounds, offering an almost spiritual, storytelling quality. Christine describes them as honoring “our fellow earthlings, who have their own life stories and maybe even culture.”
Abstract Watercolors & Gel Prints:
Alongside her glass work, the gallery will also feature Christine’s atmospheric, abstract watercolors and gel prints, textured landscapes, shifting skies, and moody horizons that echo the feeling of winter along the Oregon coast.
Christine will be in the gallery 4 to7 PM during Artwalk, on December 13th to share insights about her weaving and fusing techniques, her inspiration, and the unique processes behind these expressive works.
Warm, glowing, and deeply connected to the natural world, this December show brings a sense of movement, story, and winter light.
