Auditions for the 41st Season of Shanghaied in Astoria!
Come join us for Auditions May 3rd & 4th AND May 10th from 1 - 4 p.m..
If you would like to participate in positions off stage, such as assisting in the "House", Back Stage, Lighting/Sound or have skills you'd like to share at Asoc (carpentry, handyperson, costuming, music, etc.) come on down as well.
The Shanghaied run will be 8 weeks this year and you may request to do as many weekends or as few as you'd like. All characters will be cast for multiple people, and you may be cast in multiple parts.
With the exception of Special Guest performers were do not pre-cast. Everyone has an equal opportunity to try out for roles. If you would like to perform as a "Happy Hoofer" (can-can) but would rather not play another role that's OK too. (We love Hoofers!)
Our requirements are:
Please commit to coming to rehearsals as scheduled. They begin on May 12th.

We won't accept rudeness to our staff or volunteers, and expected everyone, regardless of age, to treat each other with respect.

Please note: Shanghaied does contain adult innuendos and if your older teen wishes to audition, we request parents attend the first read-through and occasional rehearsals. Parental participation is encouraged.
