APA Leaf Fest - Day Two

Join APA for day two of our annual effort to gather as many leaves as possible in Astoria Park to be used for compost in parks citywide!

Leaf Fest is always one of our most popular volunteer events of the year. Kid and family friendly, too (jumping in piles of leaves before they get removed is highly encouraged).

Dress warmly and meet behind the field house (on the tennis court side) before 10am. APA team leaders will distribute work gloves, rakes, bags, and tarps before we head out to designated work sites.

Volunteers will work in partnership with Parks Department staff to fill up their packing trucks with as many leaves as we can before they get carted off to the compost site.
