Join us for a restorative and inspiring two-day Artist Retreat at DOMAS Studio, a weekend designed to help you slow down, create with intention, and connect with other artists in a warm and welcoming space. This immersive experience includes four full classes, three shared meals, and plenty of time for meaningful conversation, reflection, and creative exploration.

2 ceramic workshops (slab box/trinket/mug + slab coffee mug)
1 art therapy painting session
1 printmaking class
Dinner, breakfast, and lunch
All supplies + all glazing and kiln firing
Finished clay pieces will be ready for pickup in approximately one month
RETREAT SCHEDULE
SATURDAY, JANUARY 24
5:00–6:00 PM — Welcome Dinner
We’ll begin the retreat gathered around the table with a warm, welcoming dinner. This is a chance to meet fellow artists, settle into the space, and start building the creative community that will shape the rest of the weekend.
6:00–8:30 PM — Adult Clay Night: Slab Vase, Trinket Box, or Mug
Settle in for a relaxed and creative evening. With hands-on, one-on-one support from Ashley, you’ll choose to create a mini slab vase, trinket box, or mug, using classic slab-building techniques. Bring your own wine and snacks if you’d like, this first workshop is all about unwinding, exploring clay, and getting inspired.
All supplies, glazing, and firing included.
SUNDAY, JANUARY 25
9:00–11:00 AM — Sunday Morning Art Therapy + Painting
Begin your morning with pastries, hot coffee, and a grounding Art Therapy–inspired painting session. Through guided reflection, intuitive mark-making, and gentle conversation, you’ll reconnect with yourself and explore how creativity can support emotional clarity, regulation, and renewal.
11:00 AM–12:00 PM — Community Lunch
Enjoy a simple lunch in the studio, find your favorite spot, gather with other artists, or take some quiet time for yourself before the next session.
12:00–2:30 PM — Slab Coffee Mug Workshop
Create your own handmade slab-built coffee mug, a functional, personal piece you’ll use long after the retreat ends. Ashley will guide you through slab construction, handle attachment, and surface design, ensuring every participant leaves with a mug that feels uniquely theirs.
3:00–6:00 PM — Printmaking Workshop
End the retreat with a hands-on printmaking class where we explore carving, inking, and layering using linoleum blocks. You’ll learn how to build bold, graphic designs and create multiple prints to take home.
A satisfying and energizing way to close out a creative weekend.
