Halloween Stop-Motion Animation For Kids

Stop-Motion Animation with MadLab

Stop-motion involves taking a series of still images and then digitally stitching them together to make an animation. We’ll guide you through the process of creating your own animated masterpiece using tablets and Stop Motion Studio (a free app) - from designing and creating your characters to filming your story.

This hands-on experience provides an unforgettable adventure, where every snapshot is a story waiting to be told.

All tools and equipment are provided, and you’ll be sent your animation at the end of the workshop!

Each session takes 1.5 hours. Sign up for one of three sessions on Friday, 31st October:

10:00-11:30

12:00-13:30

14:00-15:30

What you’ll do

Join other budding animators to:

• Design characters and plan out your story
• Create puppets, props and backgrounds
• Learn camera techniques to film your animation
• Add sound effects to bring the story to life

Who’s this for?

Suitable for ages 6 to 12

What do you need to bring?

All equipment is provided. All you need to bring is a sparkling can-do attitude!

Please note

All participants must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adults do not need to book a ticket, and we have space for one accompanying adult per child.

If you have any pre-made characters or props (e.g. play figures) that you would like to use, please feel free to bring them with you!
