Wilderness Medicine and Land Navigation Courses

If you hike and recreate in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, then it is worth your time to read the attached article from the Wilderness & Environmental Medicine journal which breaks down the number of rescues in the White Mountains between January 1999 and December 2001. The conclusion basically states that in order to reduce the number of search and rescues in the White Mountains, efforts should be focused on prevention of getting lost and the prevention of lower extremity musculosketal injuries.
Over the next few months, we will be running two different Wilderness Medicine Courses that vary in length from 2 to 14 days. We will also be running one more Land Navigation Course for the year.
