About the event

FREE Screening
Join us for a special free screening of excerpts from The American Revolution:

Saturday, January 24
3 PM at ScienceWorks in Ashland
Free

Step into a pivotal moment in history with a 36-minute extended preview of the new six-part, 12-hour documentary series The American Revolution, directed by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt. We are thrilled to welcome Southern Oregon PBS CEO Phil Meyer to ScienceWorks, joining us to guide audiences through curated clips that trace the dramatic story of how thirteen colonies united, fought for independence, and helped ignite democratic movements around the world.

What begins as a political dispute between colonists and the British government becomes a sweeping, global conflict involving more than two dozen nations, and a turning point that reshaped the course of human history.

Admission to the film screening is free and includes entry to the Science Theater. Museum exhibits require separate admission. Reserve your tickets at www.ScienceWorksMuseum.org

This event is perfect for history lovers, lifelong learners, and anyone curious about the forces that shaped the world we know today. You can watch the full series anytime on PBS.org and the PBS App.
