From Exile: Stories and Music of Hope

At a time when an unprecedented 100+ million people have been forced from their homes worldwide, ACMS presents “From Exile,” a string quartet program of musical stories of hope from immigrant and refugee communities. Crossing Borders Music String Quartet will share music from displaced people including Haitians, Palestinians, Syrians, Peruvians, and the Rohingya from Myanmar.The program includes pieces by Syrian musician and refugee Arian Abbas, Haitian composer Rudy Perrault, Cambodian legend Sinn Sisamouth, Jordanian/Colombian composer Tarek Younis, Ellie Kalab, Daniel Bernard Roumain, and arrangements of original songs by Rohingya refugees.
