Rae Isla is an independent American singer-songwriter, musician, producer, and multi-instrumentalist originally from Bainbridge Island, Washington, now based in Los Angeles. With roots in classical music, she began playing cello at a young age before expanding to piano, guitar, and voice. She later attended Berklee College of Music on a vocal scholarship, studying voice and music business.
Her music blends folk, indie rock, and alt-country influences, marked by cinematic storytelling and emotionally direct songwriting. Rae released her debut album Another Life in 2021, earning critical attention and national radio play, followed by her sophomore album New Frontier, which showcased her growth as both a songwriter and self-producing artist.
Beyond her own releases, Rae Isla has written and performed original music for film and television, including a lead song for the feature film Ezra and the theme for the docuseries Scene: Silver Lake. Known for her intimate, immersive live performances, she often blurs the line between artist and audience, earning a reputation as a modern traveling bard.
