With the coming of Lammas, or harvest season, Surreal Sirkus arrives at the next stop in our ongoing Tale of the Cosmic Eggs: The Yellow Egg.
This is the Egg of communion, and in that spirit we invite our whole community to take part in an afternoon of sharing food, songs, and stories.
We will gather for a community potluck at noon at Pack Square (the upper part by the intersection of Patton and Biltmore).
Please bring a dish to share and your own plate and utensils (we'll have some recyclable ones too, but try to bring your own).
There will be performances by Surreal Sirkus, featuring Street Creature Puppets, and other special guests. And if you have a song or a story to share with the community, please do!
This is a free event, although we welcome donations if you'd like to contribute to our efforts.
Most of all, we want you to come participate and be together with your Asheville community.
And of course, hear the next chapter of The Tale of the Cosmic Eggs!

About the Tale of the Cosmic Eggs:
The Surreal Sirkus embarked on this story in the aftermath of the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene on our town. When the storm came we were preparing for the annual Surreal Sirkus Arts Festival, and we had an entire show planned that suddenly was no longer feasible.
But stories have a way of taking on a life of their own, and this story wanted to be told in pieces over time. And so we set out on a great adventure, to tell those stories throughout the wheel of the year. We are unfolding one part of the story on each of the eight traditional pagan holidays — the solstices, equinoxes, and the cross-quarter holidays between them.
