OVERVIEW
Join us for Trunk-or-Treat on Main Street and a pulled turkey sandwich supper at the Ashby Senior & Community Center on Halloween! This event is FREE for all participants and is sponsored by the TFC Poultry and the Ashby Legacy Fund. Free will donations will benefit the ALF to help offset event costs.
Trunks: Arrive to your parking spot on Main Street between 4pm and 5pm. Back into a parking spot with your trunk facing the sidewalk. We will start by filling the northeast side of the street, expanding out from the Community Center and, if needed, to both sides of the street. Hosts are encouraged to dress in a costume and decorate their vehicle, table, etc (but costumes and decorations are definitely not required). Best Host Costume and Best Vehicle/Table Decorations will each win $25 cash prizes. Hosts are responsible for providing their own candy/goodies, and we anticipate 200-250 Trunk-or-Treaters. The ALF Community Team will have candy on hand to restock any Trunks that run out before the event is over. We ask that Trunks plan to stay the whole time to ensure families arriving towards the end of the event can still Trick-or-Treat.
Kids/families: Please park on Melby Ave. or Larson Ave. Bring your own bag or pail for candy collection. Watch for traffic when crossing Main Street.
Need a costume for your child? Visit Second Chance Thrift in October to select a FREE kid's Halloween costume. Have a gentle used kids costume you don't need? Drop it off at the Thrift for someone else to enjoy.
