Hot Mermaid Summer Tips & Techniques Cookie Decorating Class

The key to the art of cookie decorating is working with the perfect royal icing!

Led by cookie expert Dani B Fiori class will begin with a detailed demo on how to make the perfect royal icing including mixing adding color storing and adding icing to the bottles.

After answering all your royal icing questions Dani will lead this tips and techniques royal icing cookie class in icing 6 amazing and adorable cookies celebrating Summer and feauting one of our most popular cookies: the mermaid!

In this class we will decorate 6 amazing cookies

of all sizes to create a beautiful and delicious set:

3 Mermaids!

1 Sand Dollar

1 Scallop Shell

1 Starfish

As in all of our cookie workshops Dani provides a step by step "how to ice" demonstration of each cookie then each participant decorates their own version. Icing decorating candy and all supplies included. This is an intermediate class involving cookies with multiple layers. Participants take home a box of cookies they decorated.

All cookie supplies included. Registration for this event will close Wednesday, June 18th. BYO for adults welcome. 9 spaces available. Cookie class will be approx 2 hours long. This workshop will be held in our studio at 717 Bangs Ave Asbury Park NJ

COOKIE WORKSHOP FAQ:

Our icing tables are communal so be prepared to sit with others.

Ticketholders at Icing Tables Only: Due to room capacity and social distancing constraints we are only able to accommodate cookie icers at our icing table.

Colds Flu and Covid: If you are feeling unwell please do not attend class. If you are well enough to attend but have a lingering cold or cough please wear a mask.

Timing: The workshop will last for approximately two hours depending on class speed of icing each cookie. Please arrive on time or 5 minutes before. We do not have space to accommodate super early arrivals and are often setting up till the last minute. If you are early grab a cup of coffee or tea next door at Goldrush.

Food & Beverage: BYOB welcome for adults. We have filtered water in house. No outside food allowed. If you'd like a snack please check out our add ons menu.

Cookie Allergy Disclaimer: Sweet Dani B cookies are preservative free and are baked with the freshest ingredients... butter eggs sugar flour and a few secret ingredients that make them extra yummy. Our recipe does not include nuts but our cookies and icing is made in a kitchen where nuts are present. In the workshop we will be using various candies to decorate our cookies as well as royal icing which is made with sugar and meringue powder.

Photo Release: We take lots of photos in our workshops. Please let us know if you prefer not to be photographed.

Parking: Metered Street Parking- download ASBURY PARK app or pay at meter right near shop. You may also park in the Asbury Park Municipal lot for metered parking.

Refunds: Due to limited seating and the individual prep work required for each cookie icer in attendance our cookie workshops are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend you are welcomed to transfer your seat to someone else. Alternately we are happy to decorate your cookie set for you and schedule a pick up of them for a few days later. If you are unable to attend please let us know which option you prefer. Snow day rescheduling or refunds will be announced as needed.
