Chesapeake Civil War Roundtable: Dr. Alex Rossino speaks on Special Orders 191

The Chesapeake Civil War Roundtable is a group of Civil War enthusiasts of all levels of knowledge and interests. We meet monthly to hear various authors and historians discuss various topics. Please join us as we hear Dr. Alex Rossino speak about the Confederate Army's loss of Special Orders No. 191. Robert E Lee wrote Special Orders 191 in Frederick Maryland in September, 1862. The orders describe splitting his army in Maryland to accomplish various objectives. However, a copy of the orders was found by Union soldiers in a field outside of Frederick. Thus, the Union command learned of Lee's army spread over Maryland, and moved to attack before Lee's army could be combined. Dr Rossino has written numerous books on the Maryland Campaign, many of which will be for sale before and after the meeting. Please arrive early at 6:30 PM for coffee and donuts, used book sale, and to meet Dr. Rossino.
