On November 1 & 2, Gelre Blues is happening again in Arnhem! This edition will be a full weekend edition, including two parties!
Dáire and Renske will join hands again and will teach workshops in both Blues and Lindy Hop. On Saturday there will be a party with LIVE MUSIC by the Hopla All Star Bigband! On Sunday there will be a late afternoon DJ social.
Saturday: Ballrooming - Bigband day
- 12.30-14.00: Ballrooming Blues: let's travel across the floor!
- 14.30-16.00: Connecting the dots in Lindy Hop: how the feeling of constant connection can help us play.
- 19.45 - 20.30: Lindy Hop taster for absolute beginners*
- 20.30 -23.30: Lindy Hop and Blues party with the Hopla All Star Bigband*
Sunday: Jookin' day
- 12.30-14.00: Where Blues meets Lindy Hop: Where do we find the crossover between Lindy Hop and Blues idioms like Chicago Triple or Texas Shuffle?
- 14.30-16.00: Slowing it down with cloce embrace - Blues.
- 16.00 - 19.00: Blues & Lindy DJ social
Level:
All workshops are open level, but we do ask a minimum of 3 months of experience in any kind of partner dancing.
Pricing:
- Full weekend pass: €112,50 - (€100 for the workshops (incl. 21% BTW) and €12,50 for the party)
- Day pass: €67,50 - (€55 for the workshops (incl. 21% BTW) and €12,50 for the party)
- Single workshop: €42,50 - (€30 for the workshops (incl. 21% BTW) and €12,50 for the party)

Gelre Blues is a collaboration between dance communities in Wageningen, Arnhem, and Nijmegen. Our goal is to spread our love for blues music and blues dancing in Gelderland!
