Step into the eerie, intoxicating world of Edgar Allan Poe, the master of the macabre, in an evening of dramatic staged readings that bring his most iconic works—and darkest obsessions—to life.
Presented by The Armonk Players. Performed by a cast of six actors, this theatrical event offers a spine-tingling journey through Poe’s twisted tales and haunting poems, including The Tell-Tale Heart, The Raven, Annabel Lee, The Cask of Amontillado, The Oval Portrait, and A Dream Within a Dream.
Blending horror, heartbreak, wit, and the uncanny, The Haunted Word explores Poe’s enduring themes: love and loss, madness and guilt, the beauty of art and the terror of the unknown. A charismatic master of ceremonies offers insight into Poe’s troubled life and genius, guiding audiences through each piece with gothic flair and literary reverence.
