Yogic Sound For Wellbeing
Mantra, Rāga, Nada Yoga, Meditation
We are honoured to invite you to a rare offering this October: a two day immersion in the transformative power of yogic sound, mantra, and a one day workshop on women's wisdom with Nitya Mohan, renowned international teacher of yoga and Vedic chanting, and daughter of A.G. Mohan and Indra Mohan who were direct students of the legendary Śrī Krishnamacharya.
Nitya Mohan’s teachings are clear, authentic and profoundly rooted in tradition. But it is her voice, classically trained in rāga, refined through devotion, and alive with presence, which opens a doorway beyond intellect into deep stillness and inner harmony. Her renditions of Sanskrit mantra and rāga are meditative, soul-stirring and exquisitely beautiful. Through sound, she brings ancient wisdom into the body, the breath, the heart.
During these workshops you too will learn to unlock the healing potential of your own voice, to embody the beautiful teachings and wisdom of yoga and vedanta, under Nitya's gentle yet profoundly wise guidance.
Nitya is in Perth for 3 days only offering these two exclusive programs here at beautiful Kookaburra Yoga in the Perth hills. Options to stay onsite for an immersive retreat experience. The workshops are open to practitioners of all backgrounds, including those completely new to yoga and sound-based practice.

ABOUT YOGIC SOUND FOR WELLBEING
A powerful and immersive exploration of sound as a tool for healing, meditation, and personal transformation. Nitya will guide you through foundational principles of Vedic sound and nāda yoga — including tone, pitch, emotion, mantra, rāga, and breath — and how these ancient tools can support wellbeing, mental clarity and emotional balance in daily life.
You’ll experience:
• The deep connection between sound, breath and mind
• The role of Agni (inner fire) in sound and healing
• Chanting of sacred mantras and Vedic verses
• Rāgarasabhāva – working with scales and emotions
• Use of sound in āsana and prāṇāyāma
• The four stages of vāc (speech) and inner stillness
• Cultivation of nāda (inner sound) as a meditative practice
• The 5 Mantra Pathway for daily integration
Whether you're a teacher, student, meditator or simply curious, this program offers both philosophical depth and experiential richness, an opportunity to integrate the science and spirit of sound into your own life and practice. This workshop is open to women and men. Experience of yoga is not required. Everyone is welcome.
