We are the proud descendents of the witches they didn’t burn, inviting all witches, allies and lovers of freedom, healing and wild feminine power to celebrate these qualities with a magic potion (cacao) ceremony, an ecstatic dance, flying witches and fire master witches performances, a fire ceremony and a sound healing session to land on.
We celebrate in honor of the witches who got burnt, contemporary witches, and the witch inside all of us.

WHY?
About 500 years ago between 40.000 and 100.000 wise women, midwives, healers or just women who were seen as “argumentative” or a burden on society got executed on bonfires, accused of performing witchcraft.
As an absurd remnant of these oppressive Christian patriarchal social structures, every year danes burn figures of witches on midsummer bonfires, as a symbol of banishing evil and misfortune.
We believe its time to create new traditions! We believe that witches should be celebrated, not symbolically executed!
So lets celebrate all the positive aspects of what the witch represents! Raw feminine strength of character, independence, healing powers, spiritual wisdom, connection to nature and skills in energy work. All the characteristics that made the patriarchy scared enough to hunt down and burn these women.
Let’s tab into our inner wild witches, have a magic potion of cacao together while performing a ceremony to unleash our inner wisdom, healing powers and love of raw feminine energy! Lets burn a symbol of an oppressive social structure on the bonfire in defiance, cause that is what banishing evil really is! Lets embody our primal power, as we dance like no ones watching! Or maybe dance like we want people to see us in our full, untamed beauty?
Lets gather like its Blockbjerg, and show them that being a witch is f*cking sexy if you are grounded enough in yourself to not feel threatened by raw feminine energy.

The term “witch” as actually not gender specific. And although this celebration is focused on honoring the positive qualities associated with witches and femininity, these qualities are present in all genders, and it is not a gender specific event.

In other words; this is NOT a costume party! Costumes are about acting like someone you are not. Rather, it’s a celebration inviting you to dress to empress, but from an AUTHENTIC place.

- Equipment to comfortally receive a sound healing on the floor (yoga mat+blanket+pollow or borrow for a 50kr extra)
- Something that symbolised oppressive social structures for you, that you want to burn on the fire.
- Warm clothes if you wanna hang out outside.
