Join me for a full-day journey into play, embodiment, and imagination at #Hjareland. I invite us to explore contact improvisation through the lens theatrical play. How it can expand our awareness through characterisations, presence, and relational movement within and with the environment.
The workshop unfolds through a series of guided explorations — from the curiosity of toddlers and the composure of responsible adults, to the stillness of death. Each phase invites us to inhabit shifting roles, navigate shared landscapes, and reflect on how these states influence connection and touch.
This is my first guided full day CI workshop, so allow for mistakes, rectifications, and of course, a lot of improvisation! This invitation comes out of my curiosity to explore contact from the personification, embodiment and immersion that theatre allows into different state of minds, and how that affects relational and individual movement.
The day will include circles for sharing, playful improvisations, and time to rest and integrate (Bring snacks!)
Open to movers of all backgrounds, but tailored especially for beginners and intermediate dancers, but all are invited to deepen the never ending CI growth! — no previous experience needed, only curiosity and care. 🌿
Since the experimental nature of it, it will be a free event (but open for donations at the end of it).
