October 6: Musicality with Aleisha & Cailan
October 13: Breaking Expectations with Aleisha & Dominic
This is an intermediate level lindy hop class focused on the expectations we create in our dances and how to break out of them
October 20: Sugar Pushes with Aleisha & Cailan
October 27: Going with the Flow with Aleisha & Dominic
This is an intermediate level lindy hop class that teaches a short routine of moves and breaks down how to string moves together in a way that builds and creates a seamless flow and energy exchange.
November 3: Intermediate with Aleisha & Dominic
This is an intermediate level class covering transitions between dances.
November 10: Intermediate Collegiate Shag with Julia & Alisa
This is a beyond basics/intermediate level collegiate shag class focused on cadence, listening, and playing with bite-sized rhythm. It's expected participants are comfortable with shag footwork, and transitions between closed, open, and side by side positions.
November 17: Intermediate Collegiate Shag with Julia & Zach
This is an intermediate level collegiate shag class focused on fun intermediate level moves. It's expected participants are comfortable with shag footwork, and transitions between closed, open, and side by side positions.
November 24: Intermediate Lindy with Dominic, Aleisha, and Julia
This is an intermediate level class mainly focused on stealing in a steal jam - concepts and methods for smooth steals, a couple example steal "moves" and a build-your-own steal section. There will also be a portion at the end of class focused on switching from lead to follow and from follow to lead within the same dance. If you are not a switch dancer, not to fret! There will be an opportunity for you to build upon the stealing you learn in the first part of class.
If you're brand new to dancing we recommend attending our beginner classes.
Everyone is welcome for social dancing after class!
Lesson from 7-8pm
Social dancing to DJ music from 8-10pm
$5-15 (sliding scale) to drop in for the class and/or social dancing
