Lynch at Chalmers: 'The Elephant Man"

The 2nd Lynch at Chalmers screening will be 'The Elephant Man', on Saturday 28th February at 2pm.

'The Elephant Man' is the truly moving story of John Merrick, a heavily disfigured man who is exploited and abused as entertainment for others in 19th Century London. Rescued from a circus freak show, he proves himself to be a deeply sensitive, gentle and intelligent human being, who is able to find dignity and understanding. The suffering that John endures is unimaginable to most of us, but the light of his humanity shining through gives the film a universal message that is relevant to all of us.
