Slight change in plans!
Our scheduled host, Steve Zeiger, was in a motorcycle crash. He's doing alright, but in some pain, so won't be able to make it Sunday. Let's all wish Steve a speedy and complete recovery!
Filling in will be our fearless leader, Lighthouse Louie. This will be Louie's hosting debut, as he usually just signs up for the open mic and does a few numbers. Louie has been playing professionally since his high school days in the 70s. In the 80s and 90s he played famed NYC venues like CBGB, China Club, and Bitter End. He has opened for acts such as Marianne Faithful, Dave Mason, Concrete
Blonde, Robyn Hitchcock, A Flock of Seagulls, Delbert McClinton and many others. His post Katrina lament, Go Down Water, was recorded by Papa Mali. His novel The Sound of Building Coffins is a regional cult classic. It's kind of cool that Louie will be accidentally hosting the last show before Christmas. Come by and say hello, and bring your guitar.
Louie will play a set at 6, followed by open mic at 7. Each participant will get up to 15 minutes of undiluted fame.
All ages/no cover.
All of the events at the Lighthouse are free of charge, but while you are here, please consider making a small purchase to help support the venue so that we may continue to bring you free quality programming. And thanks as always for supporting local businesses!
