After trying all three bowls of porridge, Goldilocks dumped them on the floor and demanded some Stew. After having a taste, the bears wondered why they ever bothered with porridge.
The Stews, you see, have a little bit of something for all tastes.
The little bear loved their electric stage presence. He danced and sang along to the sweet,
catchy melodies that helped The Stews capture fans of all ages. Mama bear was quickly taken back to her days listening to REM and The Allman Brothers. The Stews certainly have a healthy dose of southern influence, born and raised in Georgia and Alabama, and living in Charleston, South Carolina.
Papa bear, who is a bit off, was enamored with their heavy riffs, thrashing solos, pounding
drums, and dynamic vocals. He closed his eyes and was taken back to a sea of flannel in
Seattle back in the day.
Goldilocks explained to her stunned bear audience that The Stews appeal to all shapes and sizes, and just about any musical taste. Soulful acoustics, psychedelic electrics, and drop-tuned riffage can all be found in the same album, the long awaited Chicken Fight.

The Stews formed in the midst of the pandemic, and used their ample free time to hone in on their songwriting and musical skills. As the world reopened, they brought this new music into the light, much to the delight of music lovers everywhere.
They quickly graduated from college band status into a national touring force. Sellout crowds including Charleston’s Windjammer, New York’s Bowery Ballroom, and Washington DC’s 9:30 club are just a few highlights of the band’s touring career so far.
The band is thrilled to release new music for the first time since 2022, with their upcoming album Chicken Fight. The Chicken Fight Tour will give fans in every corner of the country an opportunity to bear witness to the experience that is a Stews show. With shows from New York City all the way to San Diego, Nashville to Seattle, the band is thrilled to play these new songs for more fans than ever before.
2024 has been a legendary year for The Stews so far, including opening for bands like flipturn and The Black Crowes, and playing festivals including Hangout Fest, Moo and Brew, River Rocks and Lollapalooza . The Stews are thrilled to keep the momentum rolling into the massive summer and fall tours, and hope to see you riding the rail soon.
