Cost: $36 per student due at sign up to hold your place in class, maximum 10 students
Description: If you’ve always wanted to learn Tunisian crochet, I have the perfect project for you! We’ll crochet the Avery Cozy which will help you learn Tunisian Crochet basics and master this fun, new craft – no special tools necessary!
Tools and Supplies:
Yarn - any worsted weight yarn, approx. 40 yards. A variety of appropriate yarns (examples: Malabrigo Rios, Malabrigo Seis Cabos, Cascade 220 Superwash) are available at Casting On. I recommend lighter colored yarns with a smooth twist – no fuzziness or mohair to make seeing your stitches easier.
Hook – US J (6.0mm), non-ergonomic hook
Notions – locking stitch markers, and tapestry needle
All tools and supplies are available at Casting On for an additional cost.
Pattern: Avery Cozy pattern by Sarah Korth is available on Ravelry $4.
What you need to know: If you have basic yarn experience – you know how to crochet or knit, you’ll do fine in this class.
What you’ll learn: We’ll learn all the basics of Tunisian crochet from chaining to binding off. We’ll also seam our cozy so it’s ready to use!
Thank you for signing up for a class at Casting On! We appreciate your business. Payment for class is required at sign up to secure your spot in class. You may cancel a class up to 1 week prior to the start of class and the class fee will be returned to you as store credit. Our instructors rely on these classes being full as part of their livelihood. While we do maintain a waitlist, we can’t utilize it for last minute cancellations which hurts our instructor’s income. For this reason, last minute cancellation or failure to come to class without prior arrangements will not result in class fees credited.
Missed classes can be made up as a private lesson by contacting the class instructor within a week of the missed class. The class fee paid will be used as a credit towards the arranged private lesson. Time = fee, ie a $24 class is equivalent to a 30 min private lesson. If the private lesson goes beyond the equivalent, you will be charged the private lesson rate of $10/15min.
You are encouraged to pay in store (no invoice processing fees) and choose supplies for the class, please plan to do this prior to the day of class.
