Stranded Doodle Cowl Class

Learn all of the basics, and some of the more advanced techniques involved with stranded knitting in a quick 1-day class; all while creating a beautiful cowl.
We will go over how to hold your yarn, how to follow a chart, tips for maintaining consistent tension and avoiding puckering.
I will also talk about anchoring your floats, and the importance of blocking. The Basic Doodle Cowls are great choices for first time stranded knitters.

You can choose any of her “Doodle Cowl” patterns. Some are designed to be single sided, some are designed to be infinity, and some are designed to be reversible. The infinity cowl and reversible versions rely on a provisional cast-on to begin. These versions also rely on kitchener stitch to graft the ends together at the end.
I will be able to demonstrate the provisional cast-on, but because the duration of the class is so short, I won’t be able to demo the kitchener stitch. I will be sure to provide instructions for those who choose these versions, and if help is needed when the time comes, you can always reach out.
Yarn: Any DK, Light Worsted or Sport weight yarn in several colors.

Main Fabric: US 5/3.75 mm or size to
obtain gauge
Ribbing: US 4/3.5 mm or one size smaller than gauge 24 or 32 in 60 or 80 cm circular needles, depending on size selected
Notions: Stitch markers, darning needle
