Dear Mustangs,
Friday, October 31st we would like to begin our day at Meridian with a school wide parade at 8:30 am right after announcements! All students are encouraged to come to school dressed
in costumes Friday morning. The costumes need to be school appropriate, meaning not bloody, gory or involving weapons of any kind. No accessories of any kind. Masks that cover the whole face are not permitted. Please just keep in mind school appropriateness.
When the bell rings all students will line up and enter the building with their classrooms. Teachers will take attendance and get the students ready for the parade. Our Mustang school mascot will begin the parade and work his way through each grade level. Once all grades Pre School.- 6th are in line, our Mustang will lead the parade outside through our recess doors.
The parade will follow a delineated path on the playground. Parents are welcome to line the parade route on the blacktop of the primary playground or stand at the sidewalk adjacent to
the car loop to take pictures and view the whole parade. Students will parade outside and then re-enter the building at the front office and return to their classrooms. Please refrain
from parking in the car loop, instead park in the front parking lot or along S. Massey St. (see attached map). Students will not be changing out of costumes after the parade so be sure
whatever they are wearing is okay for them to wear for the remainder of the school day.
We invite you to come see the parade. There is a map attached indicating where parents can line up along the parade route to view the Meridian Monster Mash Parade.
As always, if you have any questions please give us a call.
Sincerely,
Christopher Stroud,
Principal
