Brisbane Salsa dancers: This is your invitation to step up, shine bright, and join award-winning Team La Clave, most suitable for Salsa dancers of "intermediate" level (e.g. Dance Culture's Level 3-4 or equivalent).

Learn from Australian champions Carlos & Elli of Latin Steps - passionate performers, creative choreographers, and the powerhouse duo behind World Salsa Solo and the Brisbane Latin Dance Festival. Expect epic choreographies, sharp technique, musicality, sabor, and a whole lot of fun!

Dance Culture and Latin Steps are teaming up once again to offer this opportunity not just to our students, but to the entire Brisbane Salsa community.

We are forming an intermediate Salsa on-1 team. These will be partnered choreography teams with performance opportunities locally and at interstate festivals.
Our free info session & audition is a low-pressure chance to see what Team La Clave is all about and decide if it’s right for you.

The Info Session / Audition is free to attend. Come and try. See if you vibe with what the team will be working on. And our instructors will let you know if they think you'll be a good fit based on your current level of experience.
If you become part of Team La Clave, please expect to budget approximately $30/week as your membership fee. Membership includes training, rehearsals and performance coaching at events. Membership does not include additional fees such as costuming, festival passes or studio hire for any student-organised practice sessions.
📍 Location
You can find Dance Culture on Google Maps at 474 Ipswich Road, Annerley. We are right above Yesterday's Thrift Shop. The entry leading up to our air-conditioned, purpose-built dance studio can be found between Yesterday's Thift Shop and Lifeline's Vintage Revival. We're right on the intersection of Ipswich Road and Annerley Road.

If you’re confident with Salsa and would describe yourself as intermediate level or above, come along and give it a go!
🤝 Do I need a partner?
You will be learning a partnered choreography but no, you don’t need to bring your own partner. We’ll handle that.
