The Fright Before Christmas - Pub Crawl

Step into the shadows of the season with A Fright Before Christmas, Annapolis’s dark and macabre alternative to traditional holiday festivities. For centuries, winter was the time for ghost stories—told when the nights were longest, the ale was strongest, and the veil between the living and the dead was believed to be at its thinnest. We’re bringing that tradition back.

Join us for a 2-hour pub crawl through Annapolis’s historic taverns, where warm drinks flow and cold stories rise from Maryland’s winter past—ghost tales, Yule traditions, Krampus folklore, Washington’s 1783 resignation, the myth of colonial Christmas, and grim December murders.
