It’s on bumper stickers; it’s on signs at protests; it’s in the work place and on college campuses. Strangely, the one thing that so many people are intolerant of is the Gospel.
The Gospel is offensive. You are a sinner in need of forgiveness, is not something most people want to hear, but it is a truth that the world desperately needs to hear. This reality is often most clearly portrayed on the college campus.
This year at the SWO College Retreat, we are going to take encouragement from Scripture and learn to boldly and uncompromisingly live out our faith. Whether in the halls of academia, on lunch break at work, or at the coffee shop with friends, we must believe and live out the words of Paul —
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16).
