On May 19, 2022 at 11:02 PM, a true warrior was born. Brave entered the world defying the odds—not only was he expected to be a stillborn, but at just 22 weeks old and one pound, he had only a 𝟏% 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥.

A remarkable truth about the 𝐋𝐞𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞. Not only did Brave arrive four months early as a micro-preemie, but his little sister Faith also entered the world prematurely—born at just 23 weeks and weighing only 14 ounces. Together, their story is a living testament to resilience, hope, and the strength of family.

Today, Brave continues to face challenges, and his scars tell the story of life-threatening battles. Yet his spirit refuses to let pain define him. Instead, Brave and his loving parents Nicholas and Shacreya Lee has turned that pain into purpose, inspiring the creation of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

At the heart of our mission is 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐱 Project—a thoughtfully curated gift box filled with essentials and resources designed to comfort and empower families navigating the NICU.

We are thrilled to partner with Majestic Oaks Golf Course to launch the first annual Birdies for Brave Babies Golf Tournament. Every swing helps change the narrative for medically complex and premature babies.
