The Hear Me Out Sessions are relaxed gatherings where participants can share references, images, gestures, clips, or any other kind of creative input. In these meetings, we aim to analyze, question, and re-signify the visual codes that shape our position as creators, bringing past, present, and future into dialogue.
Participants are invited to bring and share their own collection of references: whether printed images, USBs with material, books, artworks, films, etc. All material will be approached horizontally, valued in a non-hierarchical way and dissolving categorical binaries such as artistic–non-artistic, pop–niche, old–new, relevant–irrelevant.
The goal is to generate, in a relaxed, organic, and improvised environment, a situated archive that helps us discover new references that may serve as a driving force for change in our respective artistic practices and outline a generational voice or direction.
We will have various tools to present, intervene, or respond to the material: laptop, internet connection, projector, post-it notes, or markers. In this sense, any material is welcome.
