Zoo Boo at the Alaska Zoo

Zoo Boo is one of the leading and longest-lived trick-or-treat events in Anchorage.

Zoo Boo at the Alaska Zoo features decorated trails with candy stations spread throughout zoo grounds run by local business partners and zoo volunteers. 

Bring your carved pumpkins minus any chemicals or decorations to the zoo gate from October 20-24th during open hours (10am-5pm). We will have a form for you to fill out with your name and age. All pumpkins will be displayed at Zoo Boo near the Coffee Shop Lawn with winners chosen by staff. The animals will receive them after Zoo Boo is over! Prizes for winners: Age 13 and under ($50 credit in the gift shop) age 14-17 (a moose feeding for two) and adult (a family membership or level up if you are a member).

The lawn will hold carnival games suitable for young children. The infirmary trail will be decorated extra scary for older children. Food trucks will be located behind the coffee shop and at the old log cabin zoo entrance. The Kape Expresso Tayo Coffee Shop and the Zoo Gift Shop will be open for business. The Greenhouse will be used for seating and to house the photo booth and face painter.

TICKETS for this event will be sold online only in advance of the event. Tickets will not be available for purchase at admissions.

• Non-member ticket (age 3 and over): $25.00
• Zoo member ticket (age 3 and over): $15.00
• Age 2 and under ticket: Free
• Important note: In order to receive the member discount you must have a current zoo membership and you need to be logged in before you start the checkout process. Log in first then the member price will be visible. Then enter your quantity select your entry time frame and check out!

HOURS for Zoo Boo are 10am-6pm. Tickets are purchased within entry time periods as follows:

• 10am-12pm
• 12-2pm
• 2-4pm
• 4-6pm
