This FREE, hands-on introductory training covers essential introductory skills in Ironworker Welding.
Key Training Topics Include:
• Vertical and horizontal stick (SMAW) and MIG welding
• Oxy-acetylene torch cutting techniques
• Safe welding practices, hazard awareness, and site safety
• Joint design, fit-up, machine setup, and electrode selection
• 20 hours of hands-on and theory-based instruction

This training opportunity is designed to:
• Provide participants with an experiential understanding of a career in the construction trades, and
• Enhance participants' abilities to gain employment in the construction industry.

• Participants must be available all five days of training.
• Applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview if space is still available in the training(s) they applied to.
• All applicants must participate in the interview process to be considered for final placement in the training.
• **All applicants must provide the following documents for acceptance into the training: a copy of your Birth Certificate, or Social Security card, DD214 (veterans only), and a valid Driver’s License. **
