The Combined Choirs of Anchorage Presbyterian Church and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will present a service of Evensong on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 4:00 p.m at Anchorage Presbyterian, 11403 Park Road.
While the congregation participates in singing hymns and spoken prayers, much of the service is sung by the choir, creating space for reflection and stillness. As sacred words and music unfold, worshipers are invited to let the sound wash over them, offering a moment of quiet and contemplation in the midst of a busy world.
The service will be conducted by Dr. James Rightmyer, with Dr. Robert L. Bozeman serving as organist. Musical offerings include a service setting by Katherine Burk Webb, canticles by Joanna Forbes L’Estrange, and anthems Esto Les Digo by Kinley Lange and The Road Home by Stephen Paulus.
Participating churches are Anchorage Presbyterian Church (The Rev. Tara N. Reck, Pastor; Dr. Robert L. Bozeman, Minister of Music) and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (The Rev. Benjamin Hart, Rector; Lisa Lewis, Director of Music). The public is warmly invited to attend this service of prayer, music, and reflection.
