DRAG Me to the Movies! - Hairspray

Do you love going to the movies? Do you love drag shows? Well, do we have the party for you! Grab your friends and join some of your favorite local drag artists for another addition of our series DRAG Me to the Movies! This time around we will be showing the fan favorite Hairspray. Come enjoy the film on the big screen while surprise performances happen throughout the movie.
This is also a fundraiser! A portion of ticket sales will benefit Choosing Our Roots.

There will be themed drink specials and dressing up is strongly encouraged!

Don’t forget to bring some $$$ to tip the hardworking performers!

With 18 years of drag performance experience between them, your hosts Golden Delicious and Athena Nuff can’t wait to see you there! After their unsuccessful attempt at becoming two Hollywood starlets, these bearded babes have been taking the Alaska (and beyond) community by storm. You may have seen them at the Pink Pony Club at Bear Tooth Theaterpub or watched Athena’s endless Instagram stories, but you’ll be sure to enjoy this new event, “DRAG Me to the Movies”.

Choosing Our Roots works to ensure all LGBTQ+ Alaskan youth and young adults have access to safe homes, supportive communities, and opportunities to thrive.
