Give your Cadette the confidence and real-life skills she needs to begin her babysitting journey. In this hands-on workshop, girls will learn everything required to earn the Babysitting Badge and feel ready to care for younger children safely and responsibly. This workshop is for earning the Girl Scout Babysitting Badge only and is not a babysitting certification course.
During the workshop, Cadettes will learn how to:
• Introduce themselves and practice simple babysitting interviews with families
• Prepare for each babysitting job and create a plan for the day
• Keep kids safe using age-appropriate safety tips and emergency steps
• Plan fun, engaging activities for different age groups
• Understand the different needs of babies, toddlers, and school-aged children
• Practice making baby formula and safely changing diapers
• Handle common babysitting challenges with confidence
• Create their own babysitting handbook filled with tips, safety notes, and activity ideas to take home and use on real jobs
Exciting, hands-on activities that help your Cadette feel confident, prepared, and thrilled to become a future babysitter.
This workshop is perfect for girls who are ready to learn responsibility, leadership, and childcare skills. Parents can feel confident knowing their Cadette will walk away prepared, knowledgeable, and ready to care for little ones safely.
