Banned Book Week Pop-Up (ANCHORAGE)

Join the ACLU of Alaska, The Writer's Block Bookstore and Cafe, the Banned Bookmobile, and Out North Radio for a pop-up event celebrating the freedom to read and to distribute books to people who can't access them during Banned Book Week (October 5-11).

The Banned Bookmobile will be parked outside of The Writer's Block (3956 Spenard Rd) for participants to walk through. Pick up a donated banned book and read an excerpt from your favorite piece to be broadcast on Out North Radio. Attending is free and open to the public.

Donate banned books at the following locations: Black Birch Books (2901 Bogard Rd #104, Wasilla), Fireside Books (720 S. Alaska St., Palmer), and The Writer's Block (3956 Spenard Rd, Anchorage).
