Part political thriller, part family tragedy, this modern imagining of the classic greek play, Antigone, directed by Ryan Buen, is an exciting exploration of state law vs moral and religious law, of family vs politic, and pride vs creed. With a uniquely designed greek chorus, this production offers a plethora of challenging and distinct roles for men and women alike.
Well known local performers Wayne Mitchell and Grace Fahrney will bring to life the roles of Creon and Antigone respectively, all other roles are open to the audition.
Roles available include:
Ismene - Antigone’s sister
Haemon - Creon's Son
Eurydice - Wife of Creon
Teiresias - A blind prophet
The Soldier
The Messenger
The Chorus - Chorus lines have been separated to create distinct viewpoints and individualized roles within the play.
