Kaua’i HFUU Biochar Workshop

We are so excited to welcome everyone to our October 19th Biochar Workshop at 10am. Nathan (Nate) Peters has been producing and using biochar since 2020, and is very passionate in sharing the knowledge. His intentions are for everyone to walk away with a confident understanding of how to produce biochar and put it to use in their own gardens and farms. Nate has been generously and wholeheartedly digging biochar pits into action for individuals and groups over the years, including our Kaua’i Regenerations Food Forest. We are so grateful for Nate and his ability to articulate wisdom and experience of biochar, while making it accessible and understandable to everyone. You will have a lot of fun learning, and be very inspired!
Folks taking part in the workshop will learn the process of creating biochar from start to finish, as well as inoculation with compost tea, and be able to take some biochar home to put to use.
The workshop will be held at Stars and Roots farm in Moloa’a. 6180 ko’olau road, follow hfuu workshop signs.

✨A locally powered organic lunch will be provided.
✨This workshop is free for current hfuu members, and 20$ for nonmembers. Membership forms will be available the day of event.
