Hey everyone! Let's come together to remember our loved ones who have passed over and our ancestors. Let us feast and have fun.
I'd like to do something a bit different this time. I sort of want to have a theme besides the general halloween thing. I want it to be a MASQUERADE! Not Victorian style with ball gowns, though. This will be a pagan masquerade. So, pagan masks representing animals, nature, gods, goddesses, specific pagan cultures, etc. And, of course, clothes/costumes to go with your masks. For example: I will be wearing an owl themed mask and attire. (Btw, if you wear glasses like I do, you can attach the mask to your glasses. Someone showed me how a cpl yrs ago.)
It is a Potluck.
Like always I will be making: chili, mulled cider, and witch's brew punch. So, please bring something to go with. (We will really need to get a list started of what people would like to bring.)
So, what to expect: Food, Drink, Fun, Games...but also Reverence.
There will be an altar set up to honor our ancestors and beloved deceased. Please feel welcome to bring items to place on the altar in Remembrance and Reverence. We will have candles and incense to share, but you can bring your own as well. This is the time when the veil between worlds is very thin. We hope our loved ones and ancestors, the gods, and benevolent spirit beings will join us. We will have a small ceremony to remember the dead. Everyone will have a chance to speak of their dead ones (only if you wish to). It won't be a full-on ritual, just a time of reverence.
Now, time to address the RULES.
ALCOHOL:
Alcoholic drinks are allowed. BUT, overt drunkenness is Not. (This isn't Beltane, y'all. lol)There may be small children and teenagers present. Please be respectful of that.
DRUGS:
Absolutely NO illegal drugs are allowed EVER. (Marijuana isn't an illegal drug if you have a med card.)
CARD HOLDERS:
There will be a designated smoking area located away from the house, out at the barn.
As always, y'all are welcome to stay overnight. There is plenty of space outside for tents. Or you can bring somet6to sleep on inside. There will be plenty of room when we put up the tables and chairs.

I can't wait to see everyone! Please remember to mark if you will attend. It will help in knowing that we will have enough food, drink, utensils, plates, etc.
