Tasting Class: Exploring California Cabernets

California is renowned for its rich, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignons. Different regions within California produce distinct styles. Expect a range of flavors depending on the specific region and vintage, but generally, the wines lean towards characteristics of dark fruit, with notes of chocolate, vanilla, and sometimes hints of cedar or spice from oak aging. These wines are typically full-bodied with firm tannins, providing structure and aging potential.

Courtney is WSET Level 3 certified and has been in the alcohol industry for over ten years. Courtney is always exploring the history of wine, culture, food and geography from all around the world.
