On Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Trinity-St. Stephen’s United Church in Amherst, Music at Trinity is pleased to present Canadian pianist, Sarah Hagen, performing J.S. Bach’s monumental Goldberg Variations. This is Music at Trinity’s first concert in the 2025-26 series.
Sarah Hagen’s extensive touring has taken her across Canada, to Sweden, Denmark, France, Germany and Italy and twice to New York City’s Carnegie Hall. Her performances have been widely acclaimed as being “played flawlessly” (Vancouver Review) and “outstandingly inventive” (Waterloo Gazette).
Bach’s Goldberg Variations were first published in 1741 and are emblematic of Bach’s creative genius and keyboard virtuosity. Sarah has created artwork out of this music for display during the performance. One piece of art will accompany each variation.
