Pumpkin Suncatcher class

We are preparing for the season with this Pumpkin suncatcher. This is a two part class; You will come and make the top piece and bottom dangles for the suncatcher on Saturday Sept 6th, and return the following Saturday Sept 13th, to assemble for hanging. We will offer exemptions for those who can't do two Saturdays in a row, we can either assemble for you or we can plan another date for you to come and put together to take home.

Day 1- Saturday Sept 6th- 10a to 1pm- designing the top suncatcher using a sheet of glass and different colors of frit. Dangles will be make with smaller squares of glass, frit, glass dots and freeze and fuse(FNF) pieces; that you will learn to make.

FNF pieces are a combination of glass frit powder and water; Slowly combining the two together and placing into molds to freeze. Once they have soaked up the water and appear frozen, they will be fired in the kiln with the top glass and dangles to complete the process.

Day 2- Saturday Sept 13th- 10am -???return to see all your final pieces and construct your Pumpkin suncatcher together using materials on hand to attached the dangles below the top and hanger.

We are maximizing this class at 6 people, but if we max out, we will schedule a second class to start on the following weekend, Sept 13th. This will be the same day the first class returns to assemble and take home. Spots are $125 a piece.
