To be a fully-fledged ACA Instructor, you must sign up via the ACA website for their annual membership, and your CPR/FA must be up to date. If these are not completed prior to the course, no worries, but your certification would not be active until both have been completed. If you would like a skills assessment prior to the course, one may be arranged. You will be evaluated not only on your paddling skills/technique and rescue skills but also your ability to communicate and present this information.
We will be about 33% in classroom and 66% on the water. Please dress for immersion. This will take place at Camp Mohawk in Alvin, TX. Camp Mohawk does have rentable cabins on site or there are various hotels in the area.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Hope to see you out on the water🌊!
