Basic Silviculture for Landowners workshop @ Claudia L. Workman Wildlife Education Ctr, September 13, 2025
Join WVSU Extension Service on Saturday, 9/13/25, at the Claudia L. Workman Wildlife Education Center for a Basic Silviculture for Landowners workshop. Participants will learn how forests develop based on the growing characteristics of WV's most prominent forest species, and how human activities alter this succession. We will also discuss tree measurements and make a Biltmore stick.
This workshop is free and open to the public! There will be an outdoor component with moderate hiking to discuss species in the field, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
