About the event

Intro to Theatrical Intimacy: ACT Educational Workshop
An Introduction to Theatrical Intimacy: Consent and Boundaries is a practical workshop designed to help actors, directors, and stage managers create safe, respectful rehearsal and performance environments. Participants will explore best practices for staging intimacy, setting clear boundaries, and establishing consent-based communication. Through guided discussion, partner activities, and whole-group exercises, this workshop provides tools to build trust, reduce discomfort, and ensure that storytelling remains both powerful and professional.

We welcome theatre practitioners, educators, and actors of all experience levels to join us for this important and engaging session. No prior experience with intimacy work is required—just an open mind and a willingness to learn. Whether you’re preparing to stage intimate moments or simply want to strengthen your rehearsal room practices, this workshop will give you confidence and clarity. Space is limited—register today to reserve your spot and be part of this essential conversation in modern theatre-making.
