WILD & RESILIENT will give YOU the chance to develop a broad spectrum of skills required to survive in the wilderness, along with teamwork, problem solving, communication, trust, improving confidence & building self esteem, but more importantly having fun building friendships & making lasting memories.
The session will be held in our fantastic woodland setting near Howick Hall Northumberland & is open to children of all abilities, between the age of 5 - 12
The session is drop & go, we ask all parents to be on site for drop off at 09.50am & pick up at 14.50 ten minutes before the session ends.
The day will consist of
Morning
Fire
Make & manage fire using a variety of techniques used by ancient civilisations to methods used by special forces world wide.
Ferro rod
Flint & steel
Bow drill
Fire plow
Camp fire tools
Pot hangers
volcano stove
Swedish torch
Improvised shelter building
Water
How to find manage & filter water
survival hacks
Use tools (knives, axes, bow saw laplander etc)
Environment Science
Flora & fauna
leave no trace ethos
Bug safari
Bird feeder
Afternoon
Team games
Nerf battles
Crafts
Fun games & messy play for the wee ones
The session costs £25 per child, however a group sibling discount.
You must provide your child/children with snacks a packed lunch & plenty of water or jucie.
Everything brought with your child must be taken away (food waste etc)
ALL parents will be asked to complete a consent form on arrival, which will include your contact details etc
All medication, epi pen etc must be sealed in clearly labelled clip type bag.
please dress for the outdoors, long trousers & NO SHORTS !!!!
Your child will get muddy, please pack extra clothing, towel etc and a water bottle
Please park in Howick Hall car park to save congestion

on site parking is only permitted with prior arrangement, or due to mobility problems
